That being said, I personally prefer to simply delete the heat from hot oil created by the metal refinery by hooking it up to my oil refinery with a liquid element sensor so that any time the metal refinery is outputting hot oil the oil refinery prioritizes consuming.

For oil refinery - if you really want to use it (heating oil to 400C is much more efficient way to convert oil to petroleum) you can place it near oil well, oil coming out of it will be enough to keep refinery from overheating.
